Episode 3: We designed a lighter, better satellite. Here’s how.

We’re building a new way for the components inside a satellite to communicate with each other using light. This has some big advantages over wires, by cutting down on weight and significantly reducing the design complexity.

We’ve completed all the core design requirements, built custom electronics and PCBs, and fabricated a test satellite assembly we’re using to integration-test our technology. From here, we’ll be seeing how far we can push this technology, and what new possibilities it allows for.
